SUMMARY:Crazy Wisdom Makers Circle: Crafting the Wheel of the Year
DESCRIPTION:Crochet Crystal Holder \nJanuary brings in the cold\, restful time of the year.  Carrying around stones to remind you of the safety of the warm earth (grounding stones such as jasper\, argonite\, and onyx)\, the bright skies of spring (Air associated crystals such as quartz\, lapis lazuli\, or blue kyanite)\, or the bright warmth of a cheerful fire (Fire associated stones such as carnelian\, pyrite or sunstone) can help with the winter blues.  Come and turn any tumbled ½ – 1 inch stone into a charming necklace. This is a quick and easy crochet project\, with just a couple basic crochet stitches you will create a net to hold a small tumbled stone attached to a cord for around your neck.  The net will fit different shaped stones easily\, allowing you to switch out stones to match outfits or suit your mood. \nJoin us bi-monthly for a crafting circle inspired by the eight sabbats of the Wheel of the Year. In each session\, we’ll create a seasonal craft rooted in the traditions\, symbols\, and energy of the coming holiday\, drawing inspiration from books like Crafting the Wheel of the Year\, The Wheel of the Year: An Illustrated Guide to Nature’s Rhythms\, and The Natural Home Wheel of the Year. \nExpect an easy hands-on project each session\, ready to take home or finish up later with confidence. Projects shift with the season: seasonal wreath making\, witches’ bells\, blooming floral charms\, garden-harvested potions\, crocheted pieces\, pocket altars\, beadwork\, and other crafted adornments. No experience necessary. All materials and skill levels welcome. \nHost \nJen Hoyer has been crafting since she was a girl\, when her grandmother taught her the magic of crochet and sewing. She spent over five years teaching sewing\, crochet\, and craft classes to adults and children at JoAnn Fabrics\, and has taught private sewing lessons\, led needlework classes for Girl Scout troops\, and volunteered teaching crochet at the Cancer Support Center of Ann Arbor. Jen loves helping crafters of all ages discover new skills. Jen has been celebrating the seasons with her family and following Pagan traditions for over 30 years\, and enjoys creating and learning new crafts for embracing the spirit of the seasons. \nUpcoming Events: \nMarch 4\, 2027 – Wand \nMay 6\, 2027 – Macrame Meditation Charm \nCost varies per class.
