DESCRIPTION:Artist Statement:\nIn a world where so much is happening all the time and we spend so much energy “adulting” a little whimsy is much needed.\nSo often we create magic and whimsy for children\, but as we grow it’s easy to lose that magic. We’re told there’s no space for it\, that it’s too childish. My art is here to put some of that enchantment back into the world.  Here you might see a dinosaur having tea\, or a frog on a bike waiting for you to join them.\nSo welcome to my world of whimsy and wonder\, I hope you take some whimsy and a smile with you when you go.\n\n\nArtist Bio:\nT.S. Lamb lives in Pontiac with her cats\, kids and hubby. She grew up in a town of trolls\, went to the college of EMU and spent time in the land of fairies. Most recently she’s taken up set painting for local theaters and illustrating children’s books. Otherwise\, you will find her kayaking\, biking or snowshoeing.  After all\, inspiration is everywhere.\nCome and meet the artist and enjoy light snacks and refreshments while touring her flights of fancy!

DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the world of Alexa Karabin\, where every piece of art she creates tells a story rooted in nature\, history\, and the unique materials she finds along the way. \nArtist’s statement: \nMy artwork honors the natural world\, featuring imagery of bats\, deer\, insects\,\nand Mother Nature. I work with materials I create myself—handmade paper\,\nwatercolors\, and prints produced on a century-old press. Some of my paints\nare made by grinding my grandmother’s jewelry into pigment\, bringing a\npersonal history into each piece. For this show\, I will be sharing original works\nand miniature prints\, all crafted to reflect nature’s beauty and our relationship\nwith it. \nCome join us for the closing reception of Alexa Karabin’s Gallery\, snacks and drinks provided!
