DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the world of Alexa Karabin\, where every piece of art she creates tells a story rooted in nature\, history\, and the unique materials she finds along the way. \nArtist’s statement: \nMy artwork honors the natural world\, featuring imagery of bats\, deer\, insects\,\nand Mother Nature. I work with materials I create myself—handmade paper\,\nwatercolors\, and prints produced on a century-old press. Some of my paints\nare made by grinding my grandmother’s jewelry into pigment\, bringing a\npersonal history into each piece. For this show\, I will be sharing original works\nand miniature prints\, all crafted to reflect nature’s beauty and our relationship\nwith it. \nCome join us for the closing reception of Alexa Karabin’s Gallery\, snacks and drinks provided!
